It supplies hydraulic energy to automation manifolds where flow must be adjusted under varying loads. A pressure compensator governs the swashplate so the pump maintains circuit pressure without external control. Its geometric displacement of 33.00 cm³ per revolution defines the volume moved each shaft rotation, while the rated speed of 1800 rpm matches common electric motor drives. At that speed the unit delivers a rated flow of 15 US gpm, providing sufficient oil for moderate-power actuators. Viewed from the shaft end, rotation is clockwise, a detail important for correct motor coupling and hose routing.
To protect internal components, the housing tolerates up to 5 psi, and excess case oil returns through a drain line that must remain submerged in reservoir oil to prevent aeration. Suction hardware should observe a maximum inlet line velocity of 5 ft/s to minimize pressure loss, and the inlet side can withstand a vacuum no greater than 5 in to avoid cavitation. Tubing that links the pump should follow a minimum bend radius of three times the tube’s inside diameter so flow remains laminar. Filtration down to 25 µm is recommended to limit particulate wear on the pistons and bearing surfaces. These installation limits ensure stable operation and extend service life in industrial hydraulic systems.
