The GPC4-20-20-B1F4-30L is produced by Vickers for the Piston Pumps series and supplies pressurized oil in hydraulic automation systems. It is an external gear pump, a configuration selected for consistent volumetric output and straightforward service. The assembly contains two sections so one power source can feed separate hydraulic circuits. Each section displaces 21.0 ml per revolution, giving predictable oil delivery with every turn of the drive shaft. The total theoretical displacement is 42.0 ml per revolution, data used to size electric motors and relief valves. A rated pressure of 25 MPa allows the pump to operate in medium-pressure manifolds common in industrial machinery.

The pump must turn at least 900 rpm to maintain oil film and prevent internal leakage during low-speed operation. Its nominal speed of 3300 rpm marks the point where efficiency, noise, and mechanical loading are balanced for continuous duty. At that speed each section provides a flow of 69.30 L/min, supporting actuators that need moderate volume without installing larger pumps. The usable band between the minimum and nominal speeds permits variable flow control with a simple speed inverter. Keeping operation within these limits also protects the external gear stages from cavitation and thermal overload.
