The TFXXCGEX1AAG8156 cylinder is part of the Hydraulic Cylinders series from Vickers and is intended for hydraulic automation tasks. It works in hydraulic service with a bore diameter of 1.50 in to produce consistent force within a compact envelope. A rod diameter of 1.00 in provides adequate column strength while keeping weight low. The design tolerates a maximum working pressure of 1000 psi so it can drive medium-duty machine functions. A steel tube that is precision honed guides the piston to reduce wear and friction. The external body is hard chrome plated to limit corrosion when exposed to fluid spray. A cast iron piston supplies rigidity for repetitive strokes without deformation. The piston uses a pressure-energized U-cup seal to hold the pressure differential during direction changes. A Type 5 small male UN rod end offers a compact threaded interface for linkage hardware. Dual metallic scrapers clean debris from the rod before it reenters the tube. A pressure-energized V-ring seal on the rod prevents fluid bypass throughout the stroke. The rod surface finish is 8 microinch to maintain an oil film that supports the seals. Rod material yields at 100,000 psi, supplying ample resistance to buckling, while tie rods rated for 125,000 psi yield strength keep the end caps secure under peak loads.
