The DG4V3S66CMFWB560 valve is manufactured by Vickers within the DG4 Directional Valves series. Designed for hydraulic automation, it shifts flow paths with a solenoid-operated spool so actuators can extend or retract on command. The unit mounts on an ISO 4401-03 (CETOP 3) interface, allowing quick replacement on standard subplates. Its spring-centered spool returns to a neutral position that blocks port P while routing ports A and B to T, preventing pressure buildup when the solenoids are de-energized. During operation the valve tolerates working pressures up to 350 bar (5000 psi) on ports P, A, and B, and it passes up to 40 l/min (10.5 gpm) without exceeding rated limits. Continuous service is supported by a 100 % duty cycle, and the coils accept 110 VAC at 50 Hz or 120 VAC at 60 Hz while consuming 48 VA at 60 Hz, permitting direct connection to common industrial power systems.

The design also manages back-pressure conditions; the tank port can be pressurized to 210 bar (3000 psi) without compromising spool stability, which is beneficial in circuits that return flow through long or restricted lines. Petroleum oils are the specified working media, and service life is protected when fluid cleanliness is maintained at 19/17/14 or better to limit abrasive particles. Electrical hookup is handled through flying leads emerging from a 1/2 NPT entry, streamlining conduit installation, while a plain manual override allows manual shifting during commissioning or when control power is lost. Because the override is not detented, the spool re-centers automatically once force is removed, preserving the spring-centered behavior described earlier. The double-solenoid assembly weighs 2.2 kg, providing a compact form factor that keeps manifold stacks lightweight; this mass supports one-person installation and minimizes load on mobile equipment frames.
