The DG4V3S0CMFWH560 valve belongs to the DG4 Directional Valves series and is produced by Vickers for hydraulic automation that relies on solenoid-actuated spool movement. The unit employs an open center spool so all ports communicate in the neutral position, permitting pump unloading when the actuator is idle. A spring-centered mechanism returns the spool to this neutral state without external control, which simplifies circuit fail-safe behavior. Nominal flow is rated at 40 l/min, establishing its capacity for medium-size actuator loops. The P, A, and B ports tolerate pressures up to 350 bar, while the T port is limited to 100 bar to protect the tank return line. Electrical actuation is provided by a 24 VDC coil that draws 30 W, enabling quick response from common machine power supplies. Continuous duty at 100 percent ED keeps the valve energized without overheating during long holding periods.
The coil is supplied with flying leads, giving direct wire terminations for flexible routing inside control enclosures. Class H winding insulation withstands elevated temperatures, extending service life under constant excitation when ambient heat rises. Operation remains stable down to 90 percent of the rated supply voltage, which helps the valve stay functional during brief voltage dips. Mechanical mounting follows the ISO 4401-03 / CETOP 3 / NFPA D03 pattern, allowing interchange with standard sub-plates, and the M5-0.8-6H bolt threads secure it to the manifold. Proper sealing requires the mounting surface to be flat within 0.013 mm so cross-port leakage is avoided. External electrical protection can be fitted through the 1/2 in NPT wiring housing, accommodating common conduit fittings. To sustain component life and spool accuracy the hydraulic fluid must meet ISO 4406 cleanliness level 19/17/14.
