The spool is the 0 open-center style, so in the neutral position all ports are interconnected to allow pump flow to return to tank without loading the circuit. Electrical actuation is provided by an F-type DC coil with flying leads, drawing 30 W during operation to shift the spool. The winding is encapsulated to Class F standards and insulated to Class H, giving the coil thermal reserves for elevated ambient temperatures. A 100 percent duty cycle rating permits continuous energization without overheating, allowing the valve to remain in a shifted state for prolonged periods. Connection is made through a 1/2-inch NPT flying lead conduit entry, facilitating straightforward wiring into machine junction boxes. A plain manual override is included so that technicians can move the spool by hand during commissioning or if power is lost.
