The DG4V38BMP2T750 valve is produced by Vickers as part of the DG4 Directional Valves series. Designed for hydraulic automation, it shifts flow paths using a number 8 spool that provides a tandem center with open crossover, so pump flow is routed to tank at center position while crossover passages reduce transition shock. The unit handles up to 40 l/min (10.5 USgpm), making it suitable for medium-duty actuator circuits. Ports p, a, and b are rated for 350 bar (5000 psi), allowing the valve to control cylinders or motors operating at high system pressure. Actuation is accomplished with a wet armature solenoid that keeps the coil separated from hydraulic oil while damping noise. The coil is protected by Class F encapsulation to resist vibration and moisture, and the magnetic assembly is specified for continuous duty at 100 % ED so it can remain energized without overheating. A B-coded spring arrangement returns the spool from an end position to the center position, ensuring fail-safe neutral when power is removed.

The electrical package uses Class H winding insulation to tolerate elevated coil temperatures generated during long energization periods. Local operator intervention is possible because a P2 manual override lets maintenance personnel shift the spool without energizing the solenoid. The valve connects to sub-plate manifolds through a CETOP 3 / NFPA D03 mounting pattern, simplifying replacement in standardized blocks. Port t carries a rating of 7, corresponding to a maximum tank pressure of 210 bar (3000 psi), so the return circuit may be restricted without harming internal seals. These characteristics support dependable service in hydraulic manifolds that experience high oil temperature, continuous cycling, and pressurized tank lines.
