The DG4V36CUB20S300C valve is produced by Vickers as part of the DG4 Directional Valves series and directs hydraulic flow in automation circuits where reliable actuator control is required. Its nominal flow rating of 40 l/min (10.5 USgpm) sets the throughput for medium-duty cylinders and motors. The spool is arranged with the pressure port blocked while ports A and B are routed to tank, so the work lines are depressurised when the solenoid is not energised. A spring-centered return drives the spool back to this neutral position after each operation, ensuring the circuit defaults to a safe state. The P, A, and B ports tolerate pressures up to 350 bar (5000 psi), allowing use in high-pressure systems, whereas the T port is limited to 210 bar (3000 psi) to protect the return path. Hydraulic oil must meet ISO 19/17/14 cleanliness to keep the spool lands free of abrasive contamination.

The solenoid coil is moulded with Class F encapsulation for mechanical strength, and the winding wire carries Class H insulation so it withstands elevated operating temperatures. Electrical demand is 30 W DC, giving a predictable load for power supplies and limiting heat generation. A duty cycle of ED 100 percent lets the coil stay energised continuously without exceeding its thermal limits. When fitted with an ISO 4400 plug the housing achieves IP67, preventing dust ingress and temporary water immersion. The combination of high thermal ratings, continuous-duty capability, and sealed construction keeps the actuator responsive and dependable in automated hydraulic manifolds.
