The DG4V36CMWH40 directional control valve is manufactured by Vickers within the DG4 Directional Valves series to route hydraulic flow in automated machinery. It employs a closed center spool that blocks port P while connecting A & B to T, allowing the circuit to hold pressure when the valve is centered. A spring centered arrangement returns the spool to its neutral position when the solenoids are de-energized, ensuring predictable fail-safe operation. The hydraulic interface follows the CETOP 3 / NFPA D03 size so it can replace other subplate-mounted valves without piping changes, and the mounting pattern conforms to ISO 4401-AB-03-4-A for standard manifold compatibility. Installation uses M5-0.8 (10-24 UNC) bolts, and sealing integrity is maintained by a surface flatness of 0.013 mm together with a surface roughness of 1.1 µm Ra on the mating face. The pressure rating reaches 350 bar (5000 psi) at ports P, A, and B, permitting use in high pressure systems.
Electrical actuation is provided by wet armature solenoids powered from a 24 VDC supply; each coil draws 30 W, delivering the force needed to shift the spool under full pressure load. Continuous operation is supported by a 100% duty cycle, and the coils remain functional down to 90% of the rated supply voltage to tolerate minor line drops. The valve body with double solenoids weighs 2.2 kg, allowing easy handling during maintenance. Protection against dust and water immersion is rated at IP67 when an ISO 4400 plug is fitted, which suits outdoor or wash-down environments. Reliable performance also depends on hydraulic fluid cleanliness kept within code 19/17/14, limiting particulate contamination that could damage the precision fit between spool and bore.
