The DG4V36CMPA5WLB940 valve is produced by Vickers in the DG4 Directional Valves series. It directs hydraulic flow to actuators in automated circuits by shifting an internal spool against spring force. Spool code 6 blocks pressure port P while connecting ports A and B to tank, a neutral condition suited for unloading pumps. A spring-centered arrangement marked “C” restores this position when the solenoid is de-energized. The solenoid uses a wet armature design and draws 30 W DC, permitting compact coils. Encapsulation to Class F and insulation rated Class H allow higher winding temperatures during long energized periods. The duty cycle is continuous at 100 % ED, so switching can occur without rest intervals. Reliable actuation is maintained when the supply voltage remains at least 90 % of nominal.
Installation follows the ISO 4401-AB-03-4-A mounting pattern and the CETOP 3 / NFPA D03 porting layout, enabling direct placement on standardized manifolds. Electrical termination is handled through a PA5 five-pin receptacle, and conduit entry is provided by a 1/2 NPT wiring housing thread labeled “W”. Hydraulic ratings permit ports P, A, and B to operate up to 350 bar (5000 psi), while the tank port T is limited to 210 bar (3000 psi). These limits cover most medium-pressure industrial systems and prevent overstressing seals.
