The DG4V36BMUH40 directional valve is produced by Vickers within the DG4 Directional Valves series and directs hydraulic flow in automation circuits. The solenoid operates on 24 VDC, and its 30 W coil generates the magnetic force required for the wet armature design, allowing the surrounding oil to remove heat. A connector built to ISO 4400 (DIN 43650) simplifies electrical hookup, while Class H winding insulation tolerates elevated temperatures. Because the duty cycle is 100 % ED, the coil can stay energized continuously, and the spool reaches its commanded position in 60 ms when power is applied. The spring arrangement is spring offset, end to center, returning the spool when voltage is removed, and the flow pattern is P blocked with A and B routed to T during that state.
This model handles the pressure of ports P, A, and B up to 350 bar (5000 psi) for use in high-pressure machinery. IP67 ingress protection keeps water and dust away from the coil enclosure, and a water-resistant manual override allows mechanical actuation during setup or power loss. The spool releases within 40 ms after de-energization to reduce hydraulic shock. Installation uses the ISO 4401-03 / CETOP 3 / NFPA D03 interface, and the body secures with M5-0.8-6H bolts to maintain alignment under load. System fluid must meet a cleanliness level of 19/17/14 to protect internal lands and ensure reliable service.
