With spool 6 installed, the center condition blocks the P port while routes A and B to T, allowing the pump flow to be isolated and the actuator lines to unload when the valve is centered. Electrical actuation is provided by a 24 V DC solenoid that uses a top-exit flying-lead coil designated KU. The coil draws 30 W, and continuous service is supported by a 100 % ED duty rating. Supply voltage must remain at least 90 % of the rated value to guarantee reliable shifting. Packard Weatherpak male pins serve as the electrical connector, allowing sealed attachment in mobile or outdoor machinery. The coil is encapsulated with Class F insulation to withstand elevated temperatures, and the internal windings are built to Class H standards for further thermal margin.
