The DG4V33CMUB660 valve belongs to the DG4 Directional Valves series and is produced by Vickers to direct hydraulic flow in automated machinery. It employs spool type 3, which keeps ports P and B closed while connecting A to T in the centered position to define the neutral circuit. A spring-centered arrangement returns the spool to neutral when the coils are de-energized, giving failsafe positioning. The device is fitted with a double solenoid so the spool can shift either way from center, and each solenoid uses a wet armature to keep internal components lubricated by system fluid. Continuous service is possible because the coil is rated for a 100 % ED duty cycle and still functions at 90 % of its rated voltage, allowing minor supply variations. Class F encapsulation improves thermal endurance of the coil housing, while Class H winding insulation raises the temperature limit of the copper windings.
The coil connects through an ISO 4400 (DIN 43650) interface, and the mated plug seals the assembly to IP67 so dust and water cannot enter under normal service. Ports P, A, and B withstand pressures up to 350 bar, matching common high-pressure hydraulic systems. Fluid entering the valve must meet ISO 4406 cleanliness code 19/17/14 to prevent abrasive wear on the spool surface. Installation follows the ISO 4401-03, CETOP 3, NFPA D03 pattern for interchangeability with standard subplates. Fastening is completed with M5-0.8 or 10-24 UNC bolts to secure the body against the manifold. The mounting face must remain within 0.013 mm flatness so sealing rings seat properly, and the surface finish must be 1.1 µm Ra or better to minimize micro-leakage at the interface.
