The DG4V32NMWB40 directional valve is produced by Vickers for the DG4 Directional Valves series. It directs hydraulic flow in automated circuits that require mid-stroke pressure balance, achieved by its closed center spool that blocks all ports when in the neutral position. A wet armature solenoid shifts the spool, which reduces wear by keeping moving parts immersed in oil. The valve supports up to 40 l/min to match medium-capacity actuator lines, and it withstands 350 bar at ports P, A, and B to suit high-pressure industrial manifolds. During startup the coil reaches the required stroke in 60 ms, allowing responsive machine cycles. Class H insulation on the coil prevents thermal damage when the solenoid carries its full 100 % duty factor in continuous service.
The encapsulation around the coil meets Class F requirements, so vibration or moisture does not compromise winding integrity. When the solenoid is de-energized the spool returns to neutral within 40 ms, helping avoid overshoot in servo-controlled axes. The valve mounts to sub-plates that follow the ISO 4401-AB-03-4-A interface, and its pattern is identical to CETOP 3, also known as NFPA D03, which simplifies interchange with existing blocks. An IP67 seal is achieved when a DIN electrical plug is fitted, providing dust tightness and temporary immersion protection in wash-down cells. The magnetic circuit develops full force as long as supply voltage stays at least 90 % of rating, ensuring consistent shift times even under line sag.
