The DG4V32NMUH40 directional valve is produced by Vickers within the DG4 Directional Valves series for controlling actuator flow paths in hydraulic automation. It uses a 24 VDC coil so that the solenoid can be driven directly from low-voltage control supplies. The solenoid consumes 30 W, providing sufficient magnetic force to shift the spool under full system pressure. A wet armature design immerses moving parts in hydraulic fluid to reduce wear and noise. Continuous service is supported by a 100 % ED duty cycle, allowing the valve to stay energized without thermal cycling limits. The winding is insulated to Class H to tolerate elevated temperatures during extended duty, while Class F encapsulation seals the coil against moisture and vibration. An energize response time of 60 ms enables prompt spool movement when the control signal is applied.
Electrical connection is made through an ISO 4400 (DIN 43650) coil connector, standardizing mating plugs across equipment. Hydraulic oil must maintain ISO 4406 cleanliness level 19/17/14 to keep the precision spool clear of contamination. The valve withstands 350 bar (5000 psi) at ports P, A, and B, enabling use in high-pressure circuits. Installation aligns with an ISO 4401-AB-03-4-A mounting interface so it can bolt to common manifold patterns, and clamping uses M5 × 0.8-6H bolts that apply even force over the gasket. A de-energize response of 40 ms allows the spool to return quickly when power is removed, improving machine stop times. The ISO connector includes M3 terminal screws that secure control wiring without special tools.
