The DG4V-5-6C-M-P7L-H-6-30 directional valve is produced by Vickers in the DG4 Directional Valves series for automated hydraulic circuits. It uses a wet armature solenoid design to shift a spring-centered, three-position spool that directs fluid to actuators and returns to neutral when power is removed. The unit handles working pressures up to 31.5 MPa and accommodates flow rates to 160 L/min, so it suits medium-capacity systems. Mineral oil and water-glycol can pass through the body without compatibility issues, widening fluid choice. Electrical actuation relies on a 24 VDC coil that draws 1.58 A, while an indicator lamp and an internal surge suppressor are included to simplify troubleshooting and protect the windings during switching.
Installation follows the ISO 4401-AC-05-4-A sub-plate pattern, secured with four M6 × 40 bolts tightened to 12–15 N·m. The mounting face must stay within 0.01 mm flatness per 100 mm and a surface roughness of 1.6 µm Ra to prevent external leakage paths. Two G 1/2 conduit entries are provided for wiring the coil and accessories, keeping routing consistent with industrial practice. Tank-line conditions are limited to 15.7 MPa of back pressure at the T port, allowing the valve to drain safely under elevated return pressures. These characteristics combine to streamline cabinet wiring, maintain reliable sealing, and ensure repeatable operation in pressurized hydraulic manifolds.
