The DG4V-5-22A-M-P7L-H-6-30 valve belongs to the DG4 Directional Valves series produced by Vickers for hydraulic automation systems. It directs oil flow between circuits so cylinders or motors can advance or retract on command. The unit offers two operating positions, and a spring-offset “A” arrangement forces the spool to its rest location when the coil is not powered. Its closed-center two-way spool blocks all flow in the neutral state to hold downstream pressure. Actuation is provided by a single wet-armature solenoid that minimizes leakage past the plunger and resists contaminant ingress. The coil works from a 24 VDC supply and draws 1.58 A, while Class H insulation lets the winding reach 180 °C without loss of dielectric strength. Wiring enters through a G ½ conduit box which houses terminals and seals the connection against shop contaminants.
Installation is simplified by the ISO 4401-AC-05-4-A mounting interface, allowing the valve to bolt to common manifolds without line plumbing changes. The pressure containing parts are rated for 31.5 MPa working pressure, and the return gallery can tolerate back pressure up to 15.7 MPa on the T port, so counterbalance or back-pressure valves may be used downstream. A surge suppressor is integrated across the coil circuit to clamp the inductive voltage peak that occurs when the solenoid is switched off, protecting control electronics. An indicator lamp mounted on the conduit box illuminates whenever the coil is energized, giving technicians immediate visual confirmation during setup or fault finding. These features, combined with Vickers’ long-standing focus on robust industrial hydraulics, make the DG4V-5-22A-M-P7L-H-6-30 suited to repetitive duty in presses, test rigs, and mobile work platforms where consistent directional control is required.
