The DG4V-3S-60-M-KUP5-D2-G5-EN202 valve is manufactured by Vickers as part of the DG4 Directional Valves series. It directs oil flow in hydraulic automation circuits to start, stop, or redirect actuator movement. The unit follows CETOP size 3 to ensure dimensional interchangeability with other subplate-mounted components, and it uses the ISO 4401-AB-03-4-A mounting interface for straightforward installation on standard manifolds. A wet armature solenoid provides actuation, reducing wear because the moving core is immersed in hydraulic fluid. The coil operates on 12 VDC and continues to function when supply drops to 90 percent of the rated voltage, which helps maintain control during voltage dips. Electrical consumption is limited to 30 W to minimize heat generation. The winding is produced to insulation class H while the external encapsulation meets class F, so thermal endurance is improved for continuous service. Top-exit flying leads form the coil connection, giving flexibility when routing cables in confined panels.

The valve supports a continuous duty cycle of 100 percent ED, enabling it to shift repeatedly without planned cooling intervals. It permits a maximum flow of 40 l/min (10.5 USgpm) through the P, A, or B paths while sustaining up to 350 bar (5000 psi) on those lines, so it can handle medium-pressure power units common in industrial presses. The tank port is limited to 100 bar (1450 psi), guiding designers when selecting return-line filters and coolers. Actuation speed is defined by a 60 ms energize response and a 40 ms de-energize response, which assists in cycle-time calculations for synchronized motion. A built-in diode provides surge suppression, protecting the drive electronics from voltage spikes created when the coil is switched off. These electrical safeguards complement the hydraulic ratings and help the valve remain stable during prolonged automatic operation.
