The DG4V-3S-2AL-M-U-B5-60 directional valve is produced by Vickers within the DG4 Directional Valves series to route hydraulic flow in automated machinery. It delivers up to 40 l/min (10.5 US gpm) and tolerates 350 bar (5000 psi) at ports p, a, and b, while the tank port is limited to 100 bar (1450 psi). A wet armature solenoid shifts the spool, and the closed-center design blocks every port in neutral to hold actuator position. The spool is spring-offset in a left-hand build, returning to a defined state when power is removed. Continuous duty at ED 100 % allows the coil to remain energized without cooling intervals, provided the supply voltage is at least 90 percent of its rated value.
An ISO 4400 (DIN 43650) electrical connector supports quick coil replacement, and the body fits the CETOP 3 / NFPA D03 pattern with an ISO 4401-AB-03-4-A interface for manifold mounting. Correct installation requires bolt torque of 4.5–6.0 N·m and a mounting surface flatness within 0.013 mm to ensure seal integrity. The valve is 219.4 mm long and, in single-solenoid form, weighs 1.6 kg (3.5 lb), which simplifies handling during service. System fluid cleanliness must conform to ISO 4406 class 19/17/14 to prevent contamination-related wear and sticking.
