The DG4V-3S-0A-M-U-B5-60 directional valve is produced by Vickers for the DG4 Directional Valves series. It directs hydraulic flow by means of an open center spool that connects all ports when de-energized, and the spool is kept in a spring offset arrangement that shifts end-to-end once the wet armature solenoid is energized. A standard manual override located at the solenoid end permits service positioning when power is unavailable. Electrical connection follows the DIN 43650 (ISO 4400) pattern, and the coil is built with Class F encapsulation to resist vibration. Internal insulation meets Class H requirements so the winding tolerates higher operating temperatures. Under DC supply the coil draws 30 W, and the continuous 100 % duty rating lets the valve remain excited without cool-down intervals.
Rated for hydraulic systems up to 350 bar on ports P, A, and B, the valve manages flows to 40 l/min (10.5 US gpm) while limiting tank return pressure to 100 bar. It mounts on an ISO 4401-AB-03-4-A sub-plate that follows the CETOP 3 / NFPA D03 port pattern, simplifying interchange with other size-03 components. The aluminum and steel body extends 219.4 mm in overall length yet weighs only 1.6 kg in its single-solenoid configuration, so installation does not strain manifold supports. Constant operation is sustained by the previously noted duty rating, and the wet solenoid design keeps moving parts lubricated by system oil to reduce wear during repeated shifts.
