The DG4V-32NMJEK730 valve belongs to the DG4 Directional Valves series and is produced by Vickers for hydraulic automation circuits, where it routes flow to actuators. It employs a closed center spool so all ports are blocked in the neutral position, which prevents unwanted motion during standby. The solenoid draws 30 W in DC operation, providing magnetic force adequate to shift the spool without overheating. Class F encapsulation surrounds the coil to resist the temperatures generated at that power level, while the winding is built to Class H standards for additional thermal margin. Because the duty cycle is continuous at 100 percent ED, the valve can remain energized for extended periods as long as the supply voltage stays above 90 percent of nominal. Pressure limits are set at 350 bar on the P, A, and B work ports and 210 bar on the T port, enabling use on high-pressure power units while safeguarding the return line. Installation follows the ISO 4401-AB-03-4-A (CETOP 3) interface, allowing direct mounting on standard subplates.

Response times are defined at 60 ms to energize and 40 ms to de-energize, giving predictable switching for sequential control logic. When fitted with an ISO 4400 connector, the housing attains an IP67 protection rating, so the solenoid resists dust ingress and temporary immersion during wash-down maintenance. Electrical entry is provisioned by an M20 × 1.5 threaded conduit, which accepts common cable glands for strain relief and sealing. A gray-iron subplate can accommodate ports up to 6.5 mm in diameter, whereas a steel or spheroidal-graphite iron block may use 7.0 mm ports to reduce pressure drop across the valve. These dimensional limits keep flow velocities within acceptable ranges and help maintain the specified switching times, supporting reliable operation in mobile or stationary hydraulic systems that demand repeatable actuation at elevated pressures.
