The DG4V-3-2C-M-U-B-40 directional valve is manufactured by Vickers for the DG4 Directional Valves series and is used to route hydraulic flow in automated machinery. A coil encapsulation built to Class F standards and a Class H winding allow the solenoid to tolerate elevated temperatures during extended duty. The coil draws 30 W of direct-current power, and a 100 % continuous duty cycle lets the valve remain energized without forced cooling. The solenoid continues to shift reliably when the supply voltage falls to 90 % of its nominal rating. Electrical hookup is made through an ISO 4400 (DIN 43650) plug, and when this connector is fitted with its gasket the assembly attains an IP67 ingress rating that shields internal parts from dust and temporary water immersion.
The valve mounts on a subplate that follows the ISO 4401-AB-03-4-A pattern, which equals CETOP 3 and NFPA D03, so it swaps directly with comparable size units. Inside, a Type 2 closed-center spool is held in the neutral position by a spring-centered “C” arrangement, blocking all service ports until the solenoid is powered. Ports P, A, and B can be pressurized to 350 bar (5000 psi), while the tank port is limited to 210 bar (3000 psi). At 20 L/min and 175 bar the armature reaches full stroke in about 60 ms and returns in 40 ms after power removal, supporting prompt actuator responses in automated hydraulic systems.
