The DG4V-3-2A-M-U-H-40 directional valve belongs to the DG4 Directional Valves series from Vickers. It directs hydraulic flow in automation circuits using a closed center spool that blocks all ports when centered. A wet armature solenoid shifts the spool and is supplied by 24 VDC, drawing 30 W during actuation. Continuous operation is possible because the coil is rated for a 100 percent duty cycle and can remain energized whenever control logic demands flow change. Reliable insulation is provided by a Class H winding protected inside a Class F encapsulation, enabling stable performance under elevated temperatures. Port cavities endure up to 350 bar, or 5000 psi, letting the unit handle high-pressure circuits in presses, injection machines, and mobile equipment. Spring offset returns the spool end-to-end to its neutral position once the coil is de-energized, simplifying fail-safe design. Environmental protection reaches IP67 when the ISO 4400 plug is fitted, keeping dust and water from the solenoid housing during wash-down or outdoor use. Under this pressure limit, the clearance between spool lands and bore keeps leakage minimal so actuators hold position without drift. The sealed housing also resists temporary submersion to 1 m for short periods. A single-solenoid assembly weighs 1.6 kg, allowing direct mounting on light frames or movable machinery.
