The DG4S50AWT11 is a 4-way solenoid-operated directional valve from Vickers in the DG4 Directional Valves series, used to shift hydraulic flow paths in automated equipment. It functions as a single-stage unit, and its open-center spool keeps all ports interconnected when the solenoids are idle to prevent pressure buildup. A spring offset toward port A returns the spool to its neutral position after power is removed. Under ANSI B93.9 flow orientation, energizing coil A directs pressure from P to A, while coil B directs pressure from P to B, providing clear actuator control. The valve accommodates up to 20 gpm to suit medium-flow circuits. Installation is by subplate or manifold using the ISO 4401-05 (NFPA D05) interface, allowing quick replacement in standardized mounting patterns.
The solenoids run on 100 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz, and a continuous duty rating within ±10 percent of nominal voltage permits extended cycling without overheating. Class F insulation permits the coil to tolerate higher temperatures generated during long energization periods. Electrical power is routed through a wiring housing with a 1/2 NPTF conduit entry to simplify field connections. Ports P, A, and B are rated for 207 bar (3000 psi) so the valve can operate on common industrial power units, while the T port withstands 70 bar (1000 psi) during shifting to handle back-pressure safely. The unit is intended for petroleum-based hydraulic oils, and fluid must be maintained at ISO 20/18/15 cleanliness to protect internal clearances and ensure reliable service.
