The DG4S4016CD60 directional valve is manufactured by Vickers as part of the DG4 Directional Valves series. It serves as a solenoid-operated element that shifts spool position to direct hydraulic flow in automated circuits. The coil is rated for 220 VAC at 50 Hz and 240 VAC at 60 Hz so electrical control cabinets in either frequency region can energize the valve without additional transformers. Flying leads are provided on the coil to simplify wiring when the valve is mounted in confined manifolds. Installation follows the ISO 4401-05 interface, allowing the valve body to bolt to standard sub-plates without extra machining. The housing length of 212.344 mm must be considered when laying out manifold spacing to avoid interference with adjacent components.

The valve handles a continuous flow of 95 L/min to support medium-capacity actuators in machine tools and presses while maintaining stable spool response. System pressure can be taken up to 250 bar, letting the device operate in high-duty circuits without premature wear. Petroleum-based hydraulic oils are the intended working fluid, ensuring compatibility with common plant supplies and service practices. Buna-N seals are fitted, providing reliable elastomer performance with the specified oil and temperature range. Operation is recommended with fluid cleanliness at ISO 20/18/15 to limit contamination-induced spool sticking and maintain consistent directional control.
