The DG4S-010C-B-60 is a directional control valve in the DG4 Directional Valves series from Vickers. It directs hydraulic flow for automated machinery where precise changeover between service lines is required. Solenoid-operated actuation converts electrical commands into spool displacement so circuits can be shifted without manual intervention. The coils accept 110 VAC at 50 Hz or 120 VAC at 60 Hz, giving compatibility with common plant power. An ISO 4401-05 interface, equivalent to NFPA D05, allows the valve to bolt directly to standardized subplates, while its subplate or manifold mounting style streamlines replacement during maintenance. The unit is built as a single stage assembly, so inlet pressure moves the main spool directly. A spring-centered three-position layout returns the spool to neutral when power is removed, and the all-ports-open center condition unloads pump flow back to tank during standby. Petroleum-based hydraulic oils are the approved working fluid for this model.
It supports a maximum flow rate of 25 gpm, permitting moderate-capacity actuators to operate without excessive pressure drop. The main ports withstand 3600 psi, enabling use in high-pressure power units, while the tank port is limited to 1000 psi so system designers can size return lines correctly. Operating temperature should stay between 20 °C and 50 °C to maintain fluid viscosity and protect internal components. Buna-N seals provide adequate resilience within this temperature span and resist swelling in petroleum oils. System cleanliness must be held to ISO 20/18/15 or better to prevent spool sticking and premature wear. Electrical hookup is completed through flying leads, giving installers freedom to route conductors inside conduit or flexible loom. Together these ratings define the service envelope of the valve and help engineers match flow, pressure, temperature, and cleanliness targets to the demands of automated hydraulic circuits.
