The CV3-8-P-0-025 valve is manufactured by Vickers and belongs to the Check Valves series. In hydraulic automation it permits forward flow and prevents reverse flow to protect pumps and actuators. This unit employs direct acting actuation, so line pressure moves the poppet without pilot circuitry. The valve style is poppet, which establishes a simple axial seal against the seat during closure. Installation is by screw-in cartridge, allowing the body to thread directly into a manifold cavity that conforms to the C-8-2 form. Because the port type is cartridge only, external plumbing is handled entirely by the block. Two valve ports provide the inlet and outlet passages. A cracking pressure of 1.70 bar lets the poppet open quickly at low differential pressure, and once open the rated flow reaches 30 L/min to satisfy medium-capacity circuits.
For pressure capability and service life, the cartridge carries a maximum pressure rating of 350 bar while the fatigue pressure rating is 280 bar for cyclic duty. Internal leakage is limited to 5 drops per minute at 350 bar, reducing standby losses when the valve is closed. Flow passes through an orifice diameter of 12.62 mm that sets the valve’s conductance. The body uses a 0.750"-16 thread to fit the cavity, and a 22.2 mm wrench hex is provided for proper tightening during assembly. Buna-N seal material isolates the hydraulic fluid from the steel body and suits standard petroleum oils. Vickers specifies a filtration cleanliness code of 18/16/13 to protect the seating surfaces and maintain consistent operation.
