The 180G0042 valve is part of the VPH Power Pack Valves series manufactured by Danfoss for compact hydraulic automation packages. It is intended to direct oil from a small reservoir to actuators when portable power is required. The body is made from AISI 304 stainless steel, providing corrosion resistance against water-contaminated fluids. Its valve function is normally open, so flow is available whenever the solenoid is not energized. Threaded ports follow the BSP standard, simplifying connection to common European hoses. Both the inlet and outlet are 3/8 inch, allowing uniform pipework and reduced inventory of adapters. A steady flow rate of 15 liters per minute defines the reference sizing for pumps and return lines.

For intermittent peaks the valve tolerates a maximum flow of 20 liters per minute, giving the circuit spare capacity during rapid cylinder movement. System pressure can drop to 10 bar without losing control and can rise safely to 40 bar, which suits light to medium duty power packs. Media temperatures as low as –30 °C permit outdoor startup in cold climates, while a ceiling of 50 °C keeps internal seals within their thermal rating during prolonged operation. The assembly weighs 3 kilograms, light enough for quick installation on mobile frames yet heavy enough to stay stable against vibration.
