The 180L1023 solenoid valve belongs to the VDHT Solenoid Valves series from Danfoss and is intended to modulate fluid flow in hydraulic automation loops. It is a pilot-operated device that switches a 2/2 way passage, offering simple on–off service for pressure lines. The angleway configuration turns the flow through ninety degrees, which is useful where pipe runs must change direction inside compact manifolds. Both the inlet and outlet are 1-inch connections made to the BSP standard, so standard tube fittings mount without adapters. An AISI 304 stainless-steel body protects the valve from corrosion in water-glycol or light oil circuits. Under full differential the cartridge passes up to 150 liters per minute, supporting mid-range actuators and cooling circuits.
A 13.5-millimeter actuator drives a 35-millimeter piston, and the sealing interface uses FKM to resist swelling in mineral or synthetic hydraulic oils; the compact actuator keeps coil consumption low and simplifies enclosure cooling. The valve opens fully within 900 milliseconds and closes within 2000 milliseconds, and these response times coordinate well with proportional pump cycles while limiting pressure spikes. It tolerates working pressures up to 140 bar gauge, permitting installation downstream of high-pressure pumps, and it handles media temperatures as high as 90 °C to accommodate warmed return fluid. These characteristics enable controlled, repeatable performance in automated hydraulic equipment.
