The 180L1017 valve is produced by Danfoss within the VDHT Solenoid Valves series and is applied to route hydraulic media in compact automation manifolds. It uses a 3/2 configuration so one port can exhaust while another supplies flow, and the direct-acting design lets the coil move the poppet without pilot pressure. A straightway flow path reduces pressure loss through the body, while NPT threads on both ports simplify connection to standard pipework. The inlet and outlet are each 1/4 in, matching small-bore hoses typically found in instrumentation circuits. An actuator size of 13.5 mm defines the coil geometry and the magnetic force available for switching. The housing is machined from AISI 304 stainless steel to resist corrosion, and FKM sealing elements maintain tight shutoff when exposed to common hydraulic oils and mild chemicals.
The valve opens in 250 ms and closes in the same 250 ms, providing predictable timing for sequenced control steps. A maximum flow rate of 2 l/min suits dosing or sample-handling loops that require limited but accurate volume transfer. The unit tolerates operating pressures up to 80 barg so it can be installed on high-pressure test stands or auxiliary circuits. Media temperatures may be as low as 2 °C, allowing chilled fluids, and as high as 50 °C, covering typical warm oil return lines. These response times, flow capacity, and environmental limits define the working envelope for designers who need small stainless steel valves in automated hydraulic panels.
