The 180L1016 solenoid valve belongs to the VDHT Solenoid Valves series and is manufactured by Danfoss for use in hydraulic automation circuits where on-off flow control is required. It follows the BSP connection standard, allowing direct integration with common British Standard Pipe fittings used on hydraulic blocks. Its direction is specified as manifold, so the body mounts flush to a manifold face and routes fluid internally rather than through external hoses. Both the inlet and outlet connections are 1 in, which simplifies pipe sizing and maintains equal port areas on either side of the seat. A 35 mm piston diameter is provided to generate the force needed to shift the poppet against system pressure and to establish a passage sized for medium-range flow rates.

The valve supports a maximum flow of 150 l/min, enabling it to service medium-capacity actuators without causing excessive pressure drop. A maximum operating pressure of 140 barg permits installation in high-pressure hydraulic power units while retaining an adequate safety margin. Fluid temperatures may reach 90 °C, so the internal seals and coil insulation are selected to withstand warm oil typical of continuous duty systems. The net weight of 8.776 kg facilitates handling during maintenance, whereas the gross weight of 9.825 kg indicates the mass of the packaged unit for shipping calculations.
