The 180L1006 valve belongs to the VDHT Solenoid Valves series and is produced by Danfoss for hydraulic automation tasks that require dependable on/off control of neutral fluids. An AISI 304 stainless-steel body resists corrosion in water-glycol and light oil circuits. The valve uses the NPT connection standard so installers can thread it directly into common pipe headers. Both the inlet and outlet ports are 1 in, allowing the device to fit without reducers in mid-sized distribution lines. The assembly weighs 7 kg without a coil, which keeps handling manageable during bench assembly or field replacement. Compatibility with neutral media prevents chemical attack on seals and internals during continuous duty.
A 35.1 mm piston manufactured from AISI 316 stainless steel moves inside the body to isolate pressure zones and withstand service stresses up to 140 barg. When fully energized, the valve passes a maximum flow of 150 l/min, provided the pilot section receives at least 1 l/min to lift the main poppet. The flow path tolerates fluid viscosities as high as 45 mm²/s, extending use to moderately thick hydraulic oils. Media temperatures may range from 2 °C for chilled processes to 90 °C in warm return lines without degrading performance. An upstream strainer with a mesh no larger than 200 µm should be installed to keep particulate from scoring the seat.
