The 180L1004 solenoid valve is part of the VDHT Solenoid Valves series manufactured by Danfoss. Designed for hydraulic automation tasks, it is a pilot-operated, normally closed unit that allows flow only when the coil is energized. An AISI 304 body provides corrosion resistance needed for water-glycol or light oil circuits. The NPT connection standard simplifies installation into North American pipe systems, while identical 1-inch inlet and outlet ports support balanced line sizing. A piston diameter of 35.1 mm establishes the internal flow path and actuating force. Under rated conditions the valve passes 150 l/min, ensuring sufficient volume for medium capacity actuators. These construction features enable precise on/off control without manual intervention.
The valve withstands pressures from 3.5 barg up to 140 barg, letting it operate in low to high pressure manifolds without structural changes. Media temperatures can range between 2 °C and 90 °C, so both chilled and warm fluids are accepted. An opening time of up to 900 ms limits delay when energizing, and a maximum closing time of 2000 ms prevents hydraulic shock during shutdown. FKM seals contain the working fluid and resist swelling in oils or additives commonly found in hydraulic service. A mass of 2.6 kg without the coil aids mounting on mobile frames yet provides the rigidity required for long service life. Together these parameters define the valve’s functional envelope for automated hydraulic flow control.
