The 180L0297 solenoid valve is part of the VDHT Solenoid Valves series from Danfoss and acts as an on-off element in hydraulic automation systems. The actuator measures 13.5 mm, keeping the coil assembly compact so the valve fits tight manifolds. Its body is made of AISI 304 stainless steel to withstand corrosion from water-glycol or light oil media. Threaded ports adhere to the BSP standard, enabling direct connection to common hydraulic fittings. A straightway flow path minimizes pressure loss across the housing. The inlet port is sized at 3/8 in to suit small-bore supply lines, and the outlet shares the same 3/8 in dimension for balanced plumbing. A 3/2-way layout provides three ports with two switching positions for alternate flow routes, and the valve stays normally closed in both positions to secure the circuit when the coil is not energized.
Direct pilot operation lets coil energy shift the poppet without external pressure, giving consistent response even at zero system flow. An 18 mm piston diameter defines the flow cross-section and guides stable movement. A dedicated 1/4 in drain connection vents trapped fluid to tank to prevent back pressure. The unit passes up to 15 L/min when open, covering typical pilot flow demands in clamping or press applications. It tolerates media temperatures to 50 °C, and FKM seals maintain tight closure under that thermal load. A maximum operating pressure of 140 bar g allows use in high-pressure manifolds. Opening time is 250 ms, providing moderate cycling speed that avoids hydraulic shock. Together these characteristics support reliable, space-efficient flow control in compact hydraulic machinery.
