The 180L0242 solenoid valve is part of the VDHT Solenoid Valves series manufactured by Danfoss for hydraulic automation systems that require precise on-off control of pressurized liquids. The unit is servo operated, so line pressure assists the coil in shifting the valve and lowers electrical load on the actuator. A 13.5 mm actuator drives a 12 mm piston to open or close the passage, combining compact size with reliable force transmission. The design provides two ports and two positions to execute simple shutoff tasks in circuit branches. Fluid enters through a 1/4-inch BSP inlet and exits through a matching 1/4-inch BSP outlet, making installation straightforward with standard fittings. An AISI 304 stainless-steel body supplies mechanical strength and corrosion resistance for long service in industrial environments.
The valve tolerates operating pressures up to 100 bar g, allowing it to sit directly on high-pressure lines without supplemental regulators. Internal channels pass up to 15 liters per minute, supporting the flow demands of small cylinders or pilot circuits. Response remains consistent because both opening and closing actions complete within 200 milliseconds, which helps prevent pressure spikes during switching. Media temperatures can range from 2 °C to 90 °C, so the unit handles chilled water as well as moderately hot oil in mixed-temperature processes. An FKM seal is installed at the moving interface to maintain tight shutoff across the temperature span and to withstand contact with oils and common hydraulic fluids.
