The 180L0241 solenoid valve is manufactured by Danfoss as part of the VDHT Solenoid Valves series and is intended to start or stop hydraulic flow in automated machinery. It employs a BSP connection standard so installers can pair it with common pipe threads, and the ports are threaded to provide a secure, leak-tight joint without welding. Identical inlet and outlet diameters of 1/4 in keep line sizing simple on both sides of the valve. A 2/2 configuration gives one supply and one discharge path for direct shut-off duties, while the normally closed function ensures the passage stays sealed until the coil is energized. Flow moves straight through the body in a straightway pattern to limit pressure drop, and a servo-operated mechanism assists the solenoid so lower electrical power can switch high differential pressures.
The valve handles up to 15 l/min of fluid, fitting low to moderate throughput requirements in compact hydraulic circuits. It is rated for 100 barg maximum operating pressure, which supports high-pressure installations found in industrial automation. Acceptable media temperatures span 2 °C to 90 °C, allowing the device to process cold or warm liquids without performance loss, provided the media remains neutral and free of aggressive chemicals. Opening and closing times are each limited to 200 ms, giving predictable actuation speed for timed control sequences. These response characteristics, together with the pressure and temperature limits, maintain stable process control and protect upstream equipment from sudden flow or pressure changes.
