The 180L0209 valve is produced by Danfoss within the VDHT Solenoid Valves series for hydraulic automation duties. It operates in a normally open configuration so flow is present until the coil shifts the element. The pilot-operated mechanism reduces required coil force while allowing control over higher pressures. A housing made of AISI 304 stainless steel resists corrosion, and an FKM seal maintains tight shutoff against compatible fluids. Both inlet and outlet ports are 1/2 inch with NPT threads, matching standard pipe fittings. Internal motion is provided by a piston that measures 18.1 mm in diameter, giving consistent guidance during each actuation.
The valve reaches a full open position within 125 ms and completes closure in no more than 300 ms, giving fast cycle capability for precise flow control. It passes up to 60 l/min without exceeding its rated capacity, and it handles media temperatures from 2 °C to 90 °C for use with chilled or warm liquids. Pressure limits span from 4 barg minimum to 160 barg maximum, enabling service in both low-pressure return lines and high-pressure supply headers. The assembly weighs 1.2 kg excluding the coil, so a single technician can mount it without special lifting tools.
