The 180L0188 valve belongs to the VDHT Solenoid Valves series and is manufactured by Danfoss for automated hydraulic circuits. It is a pilot-operated unit, so line pressure assists the solenoid in moving the internal components for reduced coil power. The design provides two ports and two positions, enabling simple on–off control of a single flow path. A 1/2-inch inlet coupled with BSP threads lets the valve mount directly on standard process manifolds without adapters. The assembly opens when system pressure reaches 4 barg and remains serviceable up to 160 barg, allowing it to handle low-pressure startup as well as high-pressure working cycles. An internal piston with an 18 mm diameter transmits force evenly to the seat to maintain sealing accuracy. Maximum opening time is 140 ms, which supports rapid actuation in sequencing tasks, while maximum closing time of 300 ms limits water hammer during shutdown.
Maximum flow of 60 l/min permits medium-sized cylinders or motor circuits to operate without excessive throttling losses. The actuator measures 13.5 mm across, defining the stroke capability and electromagnetic force required for repeatable shifts. Wetted parts are machined from AISI 304 stainless steel to resist corrosion when exposed to common hydraulic oils or light chemicals. An FKM seal is fitted to withstand aggressive additives and to hold pressure over the full temperature span. The valve tolerates media temperatures from 2 °C to 90 °C, so it can be installed on chilled water skids as well as warm hydraulic loops found in industrial presses.
