The 180L0124 solenoid valve belongs to the VDHT Solenoid Valves series and is manufactured by Danfoss for switching duties in hydraulic automation. It operates in a normally closed state, keeping the passage shut until the coil is powered to start flow. BSP threaded ports are provided so the valve fits standard pipe fittings without adapters. A 3/4-inch inlet accepts the supply line, and a 1/2-inch outlet connects to the return or actuator side to manage downstream piping size. The housing tolerates 160 barg, giving the assembly strength for high-pressure circuits encountered in presses, forming machines, and other industrial equipment.

In manifold installations the flow path directs oil through a common block, minimizing external hoses and easing maintenance. The valve passes up to 60 l/min, supplying intermediate flow rates suitable for cylinders and rotary actuators that do not require very high volume. Media temperatures can reach 90 °C, allowing operation with hot hydraulic oil generated by continuous duty cycles. An 18 mm piston diameter sets the sealing area and coil force requirement, achieving a balance between rapid response and tight shutoff once power is removed.
