The 180L0103 solenoid valve is produced by Danfoss for the VDHT Solenoid Valves series and is intended to start or stop fluid flow in hydraulic automation loops. It is pilot operated, so line pressure assists the coil and limits electrical loading during actuation. A 13.5 mm actuator moves an 18 mm piston that uncovers the main orifice when the coil is energized. An AISI 304 stainless-steel body resists corrosion from common hydraulic oils, and an FKM seal forms the primary barrier against leakage at the seat. Threaded BSP connections simplify mounting, and both the inlet and outlet measure 1/2 in, matching compact piping found on small power units and jigs.
The valve passes up to 60 l/min, giving it capacity for medium-duty circuits such as clamp lines or directional branches. Energization produces full opening within 140 ms, while de-energization completes in no more than 300 ms, providing predictable switch timing for sequence control. It operates over a pressure window of 4 to 160 barg, so the same unit can handle pilot lines at low pressure or main feeds at higher pressure. Acceptable media temperatures range from 2 °C to 90 °C, allowing chilled fluids or warm oil to pass without harming internal components.
