The 180L0048 valve is produced by Danfoss for the VDHT Solenoid Valves series and acts as an on-off element in hydraulic automation where electrical control must open or close fluid paths. The unit is pilot operated, allowing the coil to shift a 13.5 mm actuator that, in turn, moves the main stage with reduced power loss. It supports operating pressures from 4 to 140 barg so it can fit both low- and high-pressure circuits. A flow capacity between 1 and 30 l/min lets designers match pump output without excessive throttling. An opening time up to 150 ms provides quick engagement, and the AISI 304 stainless body resists corrosion caused by water-glycol or mineral oil media.
Hydraulic logic is simplified by the 2/2 way configuration, giving a single inlet and outlet that switch fully open or closed on command. The valve mounts on manifolds built to the Cetop 3 interface, reducing piping and easing maintenance. A main piston diameter of 18 mm maintains the rated flow while keeping pressure drop within limits. FKM seals are fitted to tolerate common hydraulic fluids and maintain tightness during temperature swings from 3 °C to 50 °C. When de-energized, the device reaches the closed position within 350 ms, preventing pressure surges in sensitive actuators. These characteristics make the component a reliable choice for compact directional control blocks.
