The 180L0047 solenoid valve is produced by Danfoss and belongs to the VDHT Solenoid Valves series. It controls hydraulic flow in automated machinery by shifting internal spools with an electrical signal. The design uses a 4/3 way configuration so it can direct pressure to two actuator ports while also providing a centered neutral position. Mounting follows the CETOP 3 pattern, which allows direct installation on standardized sub-plates without custom drilling. An AISI 316 stainless-steel body resists corrosion when the valve is exposed to water-based fluids. During a command, the spool reaches its fully open position in no more than 110 ms, providing quick response for cycle-time-sensitive equipment. System flow through the valve can be adjusted between 1 l/min and 30 l/min, giving flexibility for both pilot circuits and moderate power stages.

When the coil is de-energized, the spool returns to its closed state within 130 ms, a timing that limits pressure transients during shutdown. The unit withstands operating pressures up to 140 barg, enabling use in high-pressure hydraulic lines common to industrial presses and mobile platforms. Acceptable media temperatures span from 3 °C to 50 °C, so the valve can handle chilled fluids as well as warm return lines without viscosity issues. The assembled component weighs 3.8 kg, allowing single-person handling during maintenance while still providing the mass needed for stable mounting. Internal cavity volume is 3.416 L, a capacity that defines the amount of oil present inside the housing and influences compressibility and damping characteristics of the circuit.
