The 180L0018 solenoid valve is part of the VDHT Solenoid Valves series manufactured by Danfoss. It provides on-off control for hydraulic automation circuits where quick and reliable switching is needed. The valve uses direct operation, so the electromagnetic force acts directly on the sealing element. A 2/2 configuration gives one inlet and one outlet for simple shut-off tasks. The flow path is straightway, allowing fluid to move axially through the body with minimal change in direction. An actuator size of 13.5 mm defines the plunger diameter that generates the required closing force. Threaded connections are provided, and the interface follows the BSP standard for compatibility with common pipe fittings. The inlet port is 1/4 in, and the housing is machined from AISI 304 stainless steel for corrosion resistance.
The valve passes up to 2 l/min when fully energized. It withstands operating pressures as high as 100 barg, letting it serve in high-pressure test rigs or compact hydraulic modules. Opening time does not exceed 200 ms, enabling timely pressurization of downstream components. Closing time is also limited to 200 ms to prevent unwanted flow after de-energization. Process fluids may reach 90 °C without impairing performance. The design is intended for neutral media, so aggressive chemicals are not recommended. FKM sealing elements maintain tight shut-off under the specified temperature and pressure limits. These combined parameters support accurate flow control in small-bore automation assemblies.
