The 061L1362 reversing valve belongs to the STF Reversing Valves series produced by Danfoss for hydraulic automation where flow direction must switch quickly and reliably. It remains functional in machinery rooms between −30 °C and 55 °C, allowing installation in both cold storage and warm plant areas. Internally, the medium can range from −30 °C to 160 °C so the valve tolerates hot gas as well as low-temperature suction lines. A maximum working pressure of 49 bar enables the unit to handle high-pressure refrigeration cycles, while a differential operating pressure window from 3 bar to 31 bar secures dependable shift action. The design resists mechanical disturbance up to 19.6 m/s², supporting stable performance on vibrating compressor racks.
Copper is used for all process connections to simplify brazing into standard refrigeration piping. The discharge port is a 1 1/8 in male connection that mates directly with common hot-gas lines, and both the suction and the evaporator-condenser ports measure 1 5/8 in to match large-capacity circuit tubing. Internal seat geometry limits leakage to 10 000 cm³/min, keeping bypass flow within acceptable service limits when the valve is de-energized. Rated capacity with R407C at a 0.1 bar pressure drop is 79.01 kW, supplying adequate throughput for medium-tonnage heat-pump or chiller packages.
