The 061L1225 valve is manufactured by Danfoss as part of the STF Reversing Valves series and is intended to reroute fluid paths in hydraulic automation circuits. It operates in ambient conditions from −20 °C to 55 °C so control cabinets do not require extra climate conditioning. Medium temperatures between −30 °C and 140 °C are supported, allowing the same valve body to handle refrigerant during both cooling and heating cycles. A maximum working pressure of 45 bar permits use on high-pressure lines, while the pressure differential needed to shift the slide is bounded by a minimum of 3 bar and a maximum of 31 bar for predictable changeover. The valve is supplied without a coil, meaning a matching Danfoss magnetic coil must be added for actuation. With a net weight of 1.55 kg, the component can be lifted into position by one technician during assembly.
The discharge port is a 1 1/8 in female connection that mates directly to standard copper discharge tubing, and the suction side is sized at 1 3/8 in to minimize pressure drop on the return line. All process ports are fabricated from copper to simplify brazed installation in refrigeration manifolds. When installed in R410A systems the valve handles up to 47.77 kW of capacity at the C1 0.1 bar rating point, making it suitable for medium-tonnage heat pumps. Internal slide leakage is limited to 6000 cm³ per minute to maintain separation between the hot-gas and suction circuits. A vibration stability rating of 19.6 m/s² enables reliable service on compressors and outdoor units that experience continuous mechanical oscillations.
