The 061L1209 reversing valve belongs to the STF Reversing Valves series and is manufactured by Danfoss for directional control of refrigerant flow in hydraulic automation systems such as heat pumps. Design style B establishes the internal flow path required for rapid switching between heating and cooling cycles. Copper connections are supplied to support reliable brazed joints in field-installed pipework. The discharge port measures 12.8 mm, and the suction port measures 19.15 mm, so matching tubing sizes can be selected for the high- and low-pressure circuits. Continuous duty is permitted up to a working pressure of 45 bar, providing a safety margin for compressors using modern high-pressure refrigerants. The valve works with R134a, R22, R404A, R407C, and R410A, giving system designers flexibility in fluid choice.
Acceptable ambient temperatures range from -20 °C to 55 °C which allows outdoor installation in varied climates. The internal parts tolerate medium temperatures between -20 °C and 120 °C, covering both evaporator suction and hot-gas discharge conditions. The operating pressure differential required to shift the slide lies between a minimum of 3 bar and a maximum of 31 bar, defining compressor load during reversal. Under condenser condition 2 with a 0.1 bar pressure drop, the valve passes 13.75 kW when charged with R407C. The comparable rating with R410A is 18.03 kW, reflecting the fluid’s higher volumetric capacity. Internal sealing holds leakage to 4000 cm³/min, limiting charge loss during standby. Resistance to vibration up to 19.6 m/s² allows mounting on machinery subject to dynamic forces without performance loss.
