The 061L1151 reversing valve belongs to the STF Reversing Valves series and is produced by Danfoss for hydraulic automation tasks such as changing refrigerant flow direction in heat-pump circuits. It tolerates ambient temperatures from –20 °C to 55 °C so it can be mounted close to outdoor compressors or in warm mechanical rooms. Inside the circuit, the medium may circulate between –20 °C and 120 °C, allowing both cold-suction and hot-discharge operation without overstressing internal seals. A maximum working pressure of 45 bar permits use with modern high-pressure refrigerants, while an R410A capacity of 15.27 kW at 0.2 bar C1 covers medium-tonnage systems. The discharge port uses a female 12.95 mm connection, and all process connections are copper to support brazed joints and corrosion resistance.
During cycle changeover the valve shifts when the pressure differential reaches a minimum of 3 bar and remains reliable up to a maximum operating differential of 31 bar, giving installers clear control limits. Leakage across the ports is limited to 1 500 cm³ per minute to reduce energy loss during standby. The suction side provides a 19.2 mm connection that matches standard low-pressure lines, and the total assembly weighs 0.37 kg so additional pipe supports are seldom required. Resistance to vibration is rated at 19.6 m/s², ensuring stable performance near reciprocating compressors. These characteristics define the valve’s functional envelope and make it a dependable component in automated hydraulic refrigeration systems.
