The 148F3212 relief valve belongs to the SFA Safety Relief Valves series manufactured by Danfoss for hydraulic automation circuits that must vent excess pressure safely. It opens at a set pressure of 12 bar so piping and components are shielded from overload. A flow area of 133 mm² working with a 13 mm flow diameter defines how much medium is discharged once the spring lifts the seat. Maximum lift is limited to 4.8 mm, keeping the opening proportional and enabling fast reseating when pressure falls. The inlet side uses a 3/4 in port with a G thread, allowing direct mounting on standard manifold blocks and avoiding additional adapters.
Discharge leaves the body through a 1 in outlet sized to handle the calculated flow and route it back to tank without creating back-pressure. The valve is intended for fluid group 1 media, making it suitable for mineral-based hydraulic oils commonly seen in industrial equipment. Operating temperatures range from –50 °C to 100 °C, so the same unit can be installed in refrigerated facilities or warm process areas without material change. By venting only when the threshold is exceeded, the device fulfills the function expected from a relief valve and completes the protective loop in automated hydraulic systems.
