The 148B5902 check and stop valve belongs to the SCA Check and Stop Valves series and is manufactured by Danfoss for use in hydraulic automation systems where backflow prevention and line isolation are required. It is configured in an angleway layout to direct flow through a 90-degree turn while conserving installation space. The inlet size of 80 mm matches medium-diameter process piping, and the butt-weld connection allows a continuous steel joint that minimizes leakage paths. All pressure-retaining parts are fabricated from steel, and the end preparation complies with EN 10220 so the valve aligns with standard pipe schedules. An embossed one-way arrow on the body shows the correct flow direction during assembly, and the exterior is finished in reddish brown paint for basic corrosion resistance and easy identification. This unit is supplied in the standard version of the series, allowing direct interchange with other catalog sizes without special accessories.
The valve supports a volumetric flow coefficient of 129 gal/min (Cv) and an equivalent metric coefficient of 103 m³/h (Kv), providing predictable sizing data for pump selection and system balancing. It withstands working pressures up to 52 bar so it can be installed on high-pressure liquid or suction lines, yet it opens at a differential pressure as low as 0.04 bar to reduce energy losses at low loads. The design operates with fluids in groups 1 and 2, covering common refrigerants and industrial oils used in automated hydraulic circuits. Temperature limits span from –60 °C to 150 °C, enabling service in low-temperature refrigeration as well as hot-gas discharge lines without material degradation.
