The 148B5703 valve is produced by Danfoss as part of the SCA Check and Stop Valves series. It is intended to isolate or permit flow in hydraulic automation lines while preventing reverse passage when required. The valve is built with an angleway body so the inlet and outlet are set at 90 degrees, allowing compact piping layouts. Butt-weld connections made from steel are provided in a 50 mm size that mates to pipes with a 60.3 mm outside diameter and 2.9 mm wall thickness. These ends follow the ASME B 36.10M Schedule 40 specification, simplifying integration with standard process tubing. A single-direction embossed arrow on the casting identifies the correct flow path, and the standard version designation confirms no optional trim is fitted. The poppet begins to lift when the differential pressure reaches 0.04 bar, supporting low-pressure start-up sequences.
Flow capacity is defined by a Kv value of 45 m³/h, giving predictable pressure loss calculations for system designers. The steel body tolerates working pressures up to 52 bar so the valve can operate in high-pressure refrigeration or hydraulic circuits. Service temperatures span from –60 °C to 150 °C, enabling use with low-temperature refrigerants as well as hot gas defrost lines. Classified as a stop check valve, it both shuts off the line and blocks reverse flow without the need for separate components. A net weight of 4.2 kg allows manual handling during installation and maintenance.
